Tarachand Dhanuka Academy is the manifestation of the many thousand dreams people of North-East Bihar wished could come true. And it is only due to the sacrifices of two social figures - Shri Tarachand Dhanuka & Mr. Gopal Kumar Agarwal, that this reality was shaped into existence.
During the pandemic of 2020, when the entire world was locked-down, TDA still found a way to get through adversity. We were one of the only three schools across India to secure affiliation granted by the honourable CBSE, New Delhi, in the month of April.
With our forward planning, research and discussions with prominent educationists, we concluded in March of 2020 that the pandemic could potentially hamper studies for a long period. Therefore, in the end of March itself, we began working on different methods for online classes. Due to the backwardness of the region, we found that sufficiently fast internet was not available to a majority of parents. Therefore, we took the WhatsApp route and eventually levelled up to Google Meet when the parents-students-teachers became more comfortable with the online system. It should also be noted here that teachers all across the world, despite being untrained for the whole logistics of 'Online Classes' stepped up to the occasion, opened their houses for our students, put all difficulties at bay and continued on with learning and educating.
And that is the Spirit of TDA. Because we truly believe that 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going.'
